General Rules

1.

All classes are run under Endurance GB Rules. A full set of ride rules will be displayed at the venue. Copies are available at the EGB Office, cost on application.

2.

Fabric bibs will be worn. No deposit will be charged, but Membership Cards must be shown. Anyone failing to return the bib will be charged £10.00.

3.

Horses will not be vetted unless the rider or their crew is wearing a number bib.

4.

A maximum of two people per horse will be allowed in the vetting area.

5.

Start Times: On Friday: All competitors must start by 1.00pm.  On Saturday: All 80km GER competitors must start by 9.00am or otherwise downgrade to a shorter distance. All other competitors must start by 12.00 noon.  On Sunday: All 80km GER competitors must start by 8.15am or otherwise downgrade to a shorter distance.  All other competitors must start by 12.30pm.

6.

It is the rider’s responsibility to make sure that the timekeepers, checkpoints and the stewards have their rider number. Failure to do so may result in elimination.

7.

A hard hat must be worn with the chinstrap securely fastened and must be of standard British PAS 015: 1998 or 2011 provided it is BSI Kite marked; European VG1 01.040: 2014-12 without Kite Mark; American ASTM F1163: 2004a or 04a onwards provided it is SEI marked; SNELL E2001, Australian and New Zealand AS/NZS 3838: 2006 onwards provided it is SAI global marked.  

8.  If riding footwear without a heel is worn, a suitable caged front to the stirrup must be fitted. Competitors may not ride in Wellington Boots. 
9.

Whips must not exceed 75cm in length.  Spurs are not permitted.

10.

Crew cards with the rider number completed must be visible on vehicle windscreens at all times.

11.

In case of accident riders may wish to leave personal medical details in a sealed envelope at the Secretary’s Office.

12.

Do not leave the marked route under any circumstances.
