The aim of para-endurance is to ensure that our sport is inclusive and accessible to all. Riders with a permanent disability/medical condition can apply to register as “Para-Endurance” riders. As with able bodied riders; membership can be at any level or type as appropriate to the rider/level of competition. Endurance GB will seek to ensure that all competitors are enabled to participate to the best of their potential.
We are very grateful to Torq Fitness for its support of the 2019 Para-Endurance National League. All members (including supporter/club members and pleasure horses) who are registered with EGB as a para-endurance rider are eligible. Classes of any distance and type (including PR’s) held at a National Ride will be counted. If you believe that you should be included in this league but your results are not showing then please contact the EGB office ASAP.
The League will be placed on standard EGB ride points (PR's will score the ride distance as their points) with a tie break, if required, of total distance covered. The Championship will be awarded to the Para RIDER achieving the most points and where riders are competing on more than one horse the points will be combined in order to decide final placings.
To ensure that all levels of para rider have an achievable goal there will be additional awards from 30km for annual cumulative distance achieved in National Ride classes. Level 1/Grassroots – 30-50k; Level 2/Bronze – 51k-80k; Level 3/Silver 81k-160k; Level 4/Gold 161k plus. All members achieving these levels will receive the appropriate distance award regardless of their overall placing in the League.
